BEGINNER’S STAINED GLASS

 In this class you will learn the basic techniques required to create a stained glass panel. Learn how to cut and shape glass, how to foil and solder, and how to assemble your project for a beautiful completed stained glass panel, handmade by you! For the cost of $150.00 (plus tax), it includes 4 continuous weeks of instruction, a beginner’s stained glass pattern, glass and everything you need to complete your first project. There are no additional costs! Class meets once a week for four weeks – 3 hours session each class. All beginner students will receive a 15% discount on week 4 of class to purchase your own materials and supplies.

INTERMEDIATE STAINED GLASS CLASS

 Take your stained glass to the next level! Intermediate class will focus on perfecting your cutting, foiling and soldering skills. Learn advanced cutting techniques and how to frame your projects in different materials. The cost of this class is $85.00 and it sells out quickly! Students will need to supply their own tools and materials for this class.

They will help you determine design, materials, and kiln firings – which you can pay for separately.  Experience is required – both beginning fusing knowledge and cutting experience is required. This is also a GREAT way to meet other fusing fanatics!

NEW: Wednesday, May 23rd Frit & Fiber Part One 6-8pm $150
Learn the secret of working with frits to create integral design elements for your fusing projects. These projects will be focused on landscapes and the elements that comprise them. This is a two part course and beginners are welcome.

Design and create your very own cacti garden! In this fun & creative class students will create two potted fused glass cacti. Students will use sheet glass, wire, murrine, and other fused glass accessories to crate these charming southwest inspired “plants.”  All materials and kiln firings included.

 

Saturday June 16th - LAB: Cold working Basics for Fusers 9am-12pm $25 – Phil

In this 3-hour watch and learn experience students will learn how to use cold working tools in order to create a professional looking finished project. Take your fused art glass to the next level!

This is the perfect class for gift-giving! Create adorable fused glass nightlights in this fast-paced fusing class. Students will create two nightlights with the subject matter of their choice. In this three hour course Phil will teach students about different cutting & breaking tools, how to cut glass, and the do’s & don’ts of cutting glass. The class will end with a brief overview of a helpful cutting tool, The Morton System. This class is perfect for students who have taken an entry level fusing, mosaic, or stained glass class and are looking to improve or brush up on cutting skills. After taking this course, students should be comfortable enough with cutting to start working on pieces on their own. A 15% discount will be offered on cutting tools

Create an adorable, 3-dimensional yard flamingo out of mosaic art glass. This fun & creative class will teach you the basic fundamentals of the direct-method mosaic process. Students will leave class will a decorative lawn flamingo like nobody has ever seen!

Do you love the Masters? In this class, you will learn how to turn selected Van Gogh paintings into a workable glass pattern to cut and create your own masterpiece, and play with the techniques required turning a Georgia O’Keefe canvas into a fused glass piece of art of your own! Students will learn fusing basics, as well as how to use fusing accessories such as stringers, frits and powders to bring life to their landscape. All materials and kiln firings are included.
