BEGINNER’S STAINED GLASS

 In this class you will learn the basic techniques required to create a stained glass panel. Learn how to cut and shape glass, how to foil and solder, and how to assemble your project for a beautiful completed stained glass panel, handmade by you! For the cost of $150.00 (plus tax), it includes 4 continuous weeks of instruction, a beginner’s stained glass pattern, glass and everything you need to complete your first project. There are no additional costs! Class meets once a week for four weeks – 3 hours session each class. All beginner students will receive a 15% discount on week 4 of class to purchase your own materials and supplies.

INTERMEDIATE STAINED GLASS CLASS

 Take your stained glass to the next level! Intermediate class will focus on perfecting your cutting, foiling and soldering skills. Learn advanced cutting techniques and how to frame your projects in different materials. The cost of this class is $85.00 and it sells out quickly! Students will need to supply their own tools and materials for this class.

Moving forward, when new class dates are released they will also be released with a date available for registration. No registrations will be accepted before that date. Thank you! **

In this two hour session participants will learn about the basics of glass fusing, and work with a variety of glass materials including glass frits, powders, and stringers. You will complete your very own fused glass coaster. Each piece will be a one-of-a-kind functional piece of art. The completed fired pieces will be available for pick-up the following week. All materials are included.

In observance of Yom Kippur no Class will be offered Wednesday, September 19th, 2018. If you are in our regularly scheduled Beginner or Intermediate classes a make-up session will be provided.

NEW! BAS-RELIEF with McMow Master Phil
Saturday, September 15th   9am-3pm $250 Intermediate level –Fusing Knowledge preferable
Learn to create sculptural glass with this unique technique! What is a Bas-relief? According to Webster, it is a kind of sculpture in which shapes are carved so that they are only slightly higher than the flat background. This shallow space created gives the artists a plethora of design opportunities including playing with light, texture, negative space, depth, and so much more. In this class students will create (2) 6” X 6” sculptural pieces. Includes all materials and kiln-firings.

EXPAND YOUR KNOWLEDGE – Learn the Bas-Relief technique in three styles. McMow Master, Phil will teach you how to create a bas-relief with more than just the standard fiber paper technique. Students will additionally learn how to use molds and plaster to create their compositions.

COMPREHENSIVE CUTTING COURSE – THIS ONE SELLS OUT FAST!
Great for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students looking to take their cutting technique to the next level!
Wednesday, September 26th 5:30 – 8:30PM    $85.00 *Beginner Level*
In this three hour course Phil will teach students about different cutting & breaking tools, how to cut glass, and the do’s & don’ts of cutting glass. The class will end with a brief overview of a helpful cutting tool, The Morton System. This class is perfect for students who have taken an entry level fusing, mosaic, or stained glass class and are looking to improve or brush up on cutting skills. After taking this course, students should be comfortable enough with cutting to start working on pieces on their own. A 15% discount will be offered on cutting tools!

Saturday, September 29th 10am-12pm $75- Patti *Cutting Experience Required*
Design and create your very own cacti garden! In this fun & creative class students will create two potted fused glass cacti. Students will use sheet glass, wire, murrine, and other fused glass accessories to create these charming southwest inspired “plants.”  All materials and kiln firings included.

OCTOBER

MASTERING MOSAICS with Taylor – THEME: Fall Inspiration
Saturday, October 6th 9:00am – 3:00pm $150.00 *Beginner Level*
This class is an introduction to a double direct method of mosaics which uses face taping instead of gluing each piece separately. This method allows for more versatility and a cleaner application. The gluing takes place at the completion of the project. This workshop is open to beginner and intermediate levels. This class includes all materials.

Wednesday, October 24th & November 7th 6-8pm Part 1 of 2 $150.00 *Experience Required*
Learn how to construct and cast pattern bars in this two part class. Specific firing schedules and formulas will be discussed. Students will choose from a variety of Bullseye glass to use when creating a rectangular shaped cast piece. This is an advanced level fusing class; introductory kiln forming knowledge and cutting experience are required. All materials are included.
